Life Lifters Kenya is a registered non-governmental organization that seeks to economically empower rural girls in Kenya by ensuring they have access to quality high school education, career mentorship and business training that positively impact their life outcomes. The organization incubates, mentors, and invests in high-achieving teenage girls from rural communities in Kenya and builds them to be influential women in their communities and beyond. We endeavor to deliver prompt and effective responses to challenges that women and girls face and wherever possible ensure that they have access to other productive resources.
Our organization runs a three-tier program that is focused on girls education, mentorship and business training. Our education program, formally known as the “The girls’ educate program”, invests resources in smart underprivileged teenage girls from rural communities in Kenya. The girls are offered full scholarships through 4years of high school, trained, mentored, and empowered to be the next generation of leaders in their communities and beyond.
The mentorship program on the other hand, formally called the ‘Twashinda Project’, empowers and transforms the mind-set of rural teenage girls (aged 13-19) in five counties in Kenya i.e Nandi county, Kakamega county, Uasin Gishu county, Bungoma county and Turkana county. The program seeks to reduce school dropouts among upper primary and secondary school teenage girls, reduce teenage pregnancy and increase high school transition and participation rate. By exploring a myriad of topics ranging from leadership to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), this program hopes to address major barriers that hinder girls from unleashing their full potential.
In pursuit of its mission of economically empowering rural girls by ensuring they have access to quality education, mentorship and training that positively impact their lives, Life Lifters Kenya shall be guided by the following core values.
